Hi there, I’m Adam.

I’m a Mechanical Engineer and the son of a Mechanical Engineer. My father loved helping others try new things… and that meant that I was able to be a part of all sorts of experimental things growing up. My parents would tell me that I was lucky to have such wonderful experiences. I didn’t know what they meant then, but now that I’m raising 4 boys of my own, I get it!

STEM didn’t exist when I was growing up, but I lived it! Playing with power supplies & electronics, building light bulbs, competing in the 1994 Tech Challenge, taking apart my Teddy Ruxpin… these all led me to where I am now.

I earned my degree at San Jose State University where I focused in mechatronics. Since then, I’ve worked in “New Product Design” for Anritsu, Beijer Electronics, and now at Cricut. In each of these positions, my experience in coding, electronics, and mechanics have provided ‘solution opportunities’ that aren’t obvious to the traditionally siloed disciplines.
